Katie’s Subs was started 23 years ago by Katie and her husband. In order to raise her family she sold it to her mother Niki who owned it for 7 years. During that 7 years I worked for Niki. She taught me that it takes hard work and many hours to succeed as a self employed business women. It is such a pleasure to see people return again and again, and tell me that they look forward to stopping in.
My husband Larry has encouraged me all these years and is always willing to help with whatever needs to be done. My children Jesse, Mandy and Sara have given up a lot of time to make Katie’s Subs what it is today. I could not have made it without any of them.
My hope is that our granddaughter Mattie will have the opportunity to be a part of the family business. It will be awhile she is not even 1 yet.
More About Us
Many young people have passed thru Katie’s Subs doors with it being their first job. I am so proud to have been a part of their lives. I have watched them mature and develop the skills it takes to interact with people and gain a strong work ethic.
We pride our business as one that treats customers with respect and delivers a great product at a fair price . We love the interaction with our customers and consider them friends.
Most of our products come right from Wisconsin and it makes me proud to be a farmers daughter and serve real dairy products. I feel strongly on helping the community and try to volunteer as much time as I can.
Katie’s Subs was one of the businesses instrumental in starting the December Community Lighted Christmas parade, which goes right down the amazing highway of lights in the Village of Pound. It is always held the second Saturday of December which this year is the 10th.
The money raised is donated to the local churches for the needy and the food collected goes to our local food pantries. If you have never attended this event you should, it will warm your heart.
Katie’s Subs serves homemade sub sandwiches, with many of them my own recipe. We serve chili everyday along with another choice of soup.
Cedar Crest hand dipped ice cream is a favorite among all our guests and we cater small events such as baby showers, graduations, small weddings, retirement and Christmas parties, business meetings , funerals or whatever they may need food for.
I guess you could say we are not your ordinary sub shop. I have gotten calls asking me if it would be possible to have a certain thing and Katie’s Subs does its best to accommodate.
The next time you are in the Coleman/Pound vicinity stop in and visit us. We will make your visit an enjoyable one. If you are in a hurry we always take call in orders and can have it ready when you walk in the door. I would love to have the opportunity to meet you.
